Dr. Vaishnevi is an internationally acclaimed and certified Yoga Guru holding over 18+ years of experience in practicing Yoga and training people across the globe. She has been awarded a Ph.D. in Yoga in 2018 by the Governor of Tamil Nadu for her invaluable contribution and research in the field of Yoga Philosophy. She holds a Diploma in Teachers Training from the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram traditions  and has trained 100+ teachers across various countries.  She is a certified Master Yoga Trainer from Yoga Alliances International 500 hrs and has been actively sharing her insights and knowledge of Yoga with all her students in India and abroad. She has also completed a special course on Pilates and human anatomy being trained under the top masters in Washington DC, USA.

Her journey with yoga started with a deep yearning to find her real self, her goals, and purpose on the earth. She found all her answers she got introduced to the concept of Yoga and unfolded new realities of life through her exploration. The quest of spreading awareness about the holistic approach of yoga therapy and changing the preconceived notions around Yoga being just a physical approach inspired her to extend her teachings to a larger crowd. Added to this, innumerable requests from her dedicated yoga students across the globe who wished to learn Yoga in the purest form based on the original ancient Indian scriptures, Academy of Yoga was born. Today, the Academy of Yoga has over 300+ happy and loyal clients globally. More than 65 teachers have been successfully certified in Yoga by the Academy. The philosophy of the academy is to reach the global seekers and learners through an online platform and impart a deeper knowledge of  yoga in the most authentic form.

Dr. Vaishnevi is known for her unique fusion of ancient wisdom of yoga and modern techniques to facilitate effective transformation for her clients. She also specializes in chakra meditation to help clients establish a connection between the mind, the body, and the soul. She also works extensively with expecting mothers through her prenatal yoga sessions to ensure happy and natural deliveries. Her vision through the Academy of Yoga is to help create awareness of the mind through body movements by linking it to the breath in order to attain utmost yoga transcendence. A constant learner, Dr. Vaishnevi is currently carrying out research on the workings of the mind and beyond.

Course Curriculum


Glued to your computer 5 days a week, you must know that 9-5 jobs are certainly not pleasurable for your back and shoulders. How often do you get back home massaging your lower back or rotating your neck to exercise the pain away? If your answer is painfully often, then it’s a sign that your body is craving a fix of yoga! 

When practiced properly and cautiously, yoga can improve overall fitness, increase flexibility and strength, reduce stress, improve concentration and mindfulness and increase the person’s happiness.  Basic asanas such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Adho Mukho Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog Pose), Naukasana (Boat Pose) and   Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) engage various body parts such as the spine, chest, ham strings, abdominal muscles, shoulders etc and improve our stability and concentration. Apart from that, they also leave our body feeling rejuvenated and energized. 

Now, we know what the usual concern is. “I don’t know any poses, what if I harm my body even more by practicing wrong yoga?” Well, Academy of Yoga has got just the solution for you! A certified Master yoga teacher from Yoga Alliances International, Dr. Vaishnevi is conducting a basic yoga asana certification program wherein she will cover many asanas and explain the technique of each elaborately. She will also be deconstructing each asana while explaining the meaning behind the same along with the benefit of every asana. 

The most instrumental step while practicing these asanas is the knowledge of breathing. During the course, Dr. Vaishnevi will teach the breathing techniques involved in each pose at length. Yoga is known to benefit not only the body but also our mind greatly. Hence, she will also be highlighting and simplifying the mind-body link and relation in each asana.

Yoga typically means 'union' between the mind, body and spirit and that is the exact benefit I have been getting for the past three months training with our most adored madam Vaishnevi. Flexibility, weight loss are just some extra benefits that we got after training the main thing I have experienced is 'Balance'. One of the most important part of my life. Yoga really changes you a lot both mentally and physically. I spend my 1 hr in yoga cls where I wouldn't able to get that much satisfaction anywhere else. Because the main reasons beyond my satisfaction are making body and mind more flexible, which in turn increases ur life span, self confidence, reduces your tension and anger(from my experience) which i needed very badly, some inner soul reaction when we do it, most important thing is helps to improve our concentration skill and for sure weight loss. Better I can say that my life span keep increasing for that 1 hour instead of saying spending my 1 hour in my yoga class. This much satisfaction is impossible without a proper trainer.
